What's your policy on your CC?

It varies depending on the creator.

For Hound's Designs:

1. You can NOT redistribute
2. You MAY recolor, but you can NOT redistribute
3. You can re-use the jeans or shoes from my outfit, but you can NOT use the top
4. You can use the clothing for stories, movies, photos, etc.
5. No uploading my outfits to the exchange
6. Please credit me when possible

How do I install the skins?

Unzip the files and then drag the files to your DOWNLOADS folder of your Sims game.
MY DOCUMENTS>EA GAMES>THE SIMS 2>DOWNLOADS

What's a mesh?

It's pretty hard to explain, but basically you need it for some clothes to work. It's the model/base for the clothes. Imagine a painted clay pot; the paint is the skins and the pot itself is the mesh. Without the mesh, you basically have paint. The mesh gives the clothes its shape. Clothes that use MAXIS meshes don't require a brand new mesh. Basically if it says it requires a mesh, then you need the mesh for that. Clothes requiring meshes will not show up without it, so make you download it from the mesh site.

How long does the staff/submission process take?

Staff:
Depending on whether I am busy or not can be a factor. It all depends on your skills and what the other staff members say as well. It varies. Not sure really, no staff members at the moment.

Submissions:
Usually once I will receive the e-mail with your submission and reply within a day, if not busy. I will first look at your submission, if I approve you send me the zipped file through e-mail or upload it yourself. I recommend uploading using box.net so you know how many people downloaded your CC. After that it's all a matter of time. Pictures for the clothes has to be taken then everything needs to be resized, edited and then placed into the web site.

How did you make the CC?

Most of the CC is photo-scanned. Meaning they were taken off real images of clothing, usually from clothing sites. I tend use clothes from web sites that show their clothes less wrinkled. It makes it easier to skin. You can use any editing program, I prefer Adobe Photoshop CS2. It takes practice and some editing skills. Patience and refreshing the Sim in bodyshop is the key.

I noticed some of the jeans look familiar from other clothes.

Yes, it's true. I re-use some of the shoes and jeans from other outfits. Jeans are usually harder to skin, because they sometimes come really wrinkled and the leg is separated. It would take forever to use a new pair of jeans for each outfit. I try to recolor them if possible. I also re-use the shoes as well. It's easy to re-use them. And yes, it's true I even used jeans and shoes from other already made CC from other sites. I apologize for using them, but that was when I first learned to CC. You can attack us all you want, but the purpose of this web site is to benefit the Sims community. We are not trying to steal others works at all. It's only jeans and shoes, people wear the same pair once, twice even more times a week. Wouldn't it be realistic if Sims did the same? We are not purposely stealing and therefore do not plan to.

Do you take requests?

Sorry, but at the moment we will NOT be taking any requests. Try requesting on MTS2.

The mesh link for the guys clothes won't work.

I corrected the problem now. The mesh is now on our own file. Also it's the same exact mesh for all of the guys clothing unless stated. You don't need to keep download the same mesh over and over again, just one time will work.
